Grounded in Motion: Transforming Trauma through Breath, Posture, and Power
Paul Linden, PhD, is a body awareness educator, martial artist, the developer of Being In Movement® mindbody education, and the founder of the Columbus Center for Movement Studies in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Linden holds a sixth-degree black belt in Aikido, a first-degree black belt in Karate, and is a certified instructor of the Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education. He has been practicing and teaching Aikido since 1969.
Focusing on trauma recovery and peacemaking, Dr. Linden has extensive experience teaching a variety of people such as musicians, athletes, business professionals, pregnant women, adult survivors of child abuse, and children with attention deficit disorder. His Being In Movement® approach integrates principles from martial arts and somatic education to help individuals develop a state of calm alertness and compassionate power.
Dr. Linden offers online classes, videos, and free resources and is the author of several books, including Winning is Healing: Body Awareness and Empowerment for Abuse Survivors, Embodied Peacemaking: Body Awareness, Self-Regulation and Conflict Resolution, and Feeling Aikido: Body Awareness Training as a Foundation for Aikido Practice.
